He is a member of the injury prevention initiative for Africa, council of the surgical society of Kenya, and a reviewer for the East Africa medical journal and the journal of injury prevention. He has been involved in the administration of youth organizations in Kibera. He believes in establishing a strong board relationship with every member growing in the process.

Mrs Alambo has served as accountant and accounts controller at Treasury and ministries of Natural resources, tourism and wildlife, labor and defense. She is a member of the Soroptomist international and has served as treasurer and chairman of the Nairobi club.
